30. December
PDC World Championship - Day 13
Today the Fourth Round was played to the end und we did see some not expected results. In the afternoon first Daryl Gurney defeated Vincent van der Voort with 4:2, a match in which at least Gurney didn't play as well as in his matches before. In the following match Stephen Bunting prevailed with 4:3 over Ryan Searle. It was a close match and Bunting's so far best performance in this year's World Championship. In the last match of the afternoon-session a clearly happier Gary Anderson won 4:0 against Devon Petersen, who had a lot of problems to hit the doubles.
The evening-session started with a tense match between Dirk van Duijvenbode and Glen Durrant which van Duijvenbode won. Durrant starts to play better but is still far from his best. The next match between Gerwyn Price and Mervyn King was disappointingly one-sided and Price won 4:1. In the last match of the Fourth Round Dave Chisnall surprised with an outstanding performance and stormed through the first three sets averaging far over 100 and with a hitting rate on the doubles of more then eighty percent. Dimitri van den Bergh managed to stop him and win the next two sets in which Chisnall was no longer as strong, but he was too far behind and Chisnall won 4:2.

In the BDO World Championship he was twice the runner-up - in 2002 and 2004

PDC World Championship - Day 12
The twelfth day of the tournament was a very eventful day of darts. In the first match of the afternoon-session James Wade threw a nine-darter but lost due to a for him weak performance 2:4 to Stephen Bunting. In the second match Daryl Gurney again showed a great performance and defeated Chris Dobey 4:1 before in the last match of the afternoon Jason Lowe had no chance against Devon Petersen and lost with 0:4.
The evening started with the last Third Round match between Dave Chisnall and Danny Noppert. Chisnall won it after a slow start with 4:2. The next match was the first Fourth Round match between Gabriel Clemens and it was a thrilling match in which both players missed several matchdarts before Ratajski finally hit the Double 1 for the win. In the last match of the night Joe Cullen and Michael van Gerwen displayed the fireworks of 180s - in the end it were 28 - and high scores. In the seventh and last set Joe Cullen run a little bit out of steam and van Gerwen managed to cross the finishing line first.

PDC World Championship - Day 11
On the 11. day of the tournament not the best performance of the day was most discussed but the match between Gary Anderson and Mensur Suljovic in the evening session which Anderson won with 4:3. Suljovic very varying throwing tempi not only caused a big stir with his opponent and a lot of fans but lead to an under par performance of Suljovic as well.
There were no big upsets though slightly surprisingly Nathan Aspinall was eliminated by Vincent van der Voort. In the afternoon-session both Mervyn King and Dirk van Duijvenbode shone with averages of 103.47 and 104.09 and high hitting rates at the doubles at their 4:0 wins. PDC World Championship - Day 10
On the tenth day of the World Championship only two of the matches had the expectable results - Michael van Gerwen defeated Ricky Evans and Dimitri van den Bergh prevailed against Jermaine Wattimena. The other four matches had a surprise course and Gabriel Clemens caused the biggest upset of the World Championship so far - with his high-class and consistent game he eliminated World Champion Peter Wright who scored quite well but had a lot of double trouble. Clemens is the first ever German player to progress into the Fourth Round of the PDC World Championship. Beside Joe Cullen defeated Jonny Clayton in another thriller, Krzysztof Ratajski threw Simon Whitlock out of the tournament who as Wright had almost astonishing problems to hit his doubles und Kim Huybrechts lost to Ryan Searle.

Glazier, who might be no longer so well known today, was at that time one of the most popular players. Dr. Patrick Chaplin payed a tribute to the player who passed away on 12. November 2020 in his December Newsletter and had a look on his life.
