PDC World Championship - Day 13

On the 13. day of the tournament the fourth round was played to the end and in all six matches the favourites prevailed. Nathan Aspinall and Stephen Bunting dominated their matches against Ricardo Pietreczko and Luke
Woodhouse respectively and both won 4:0. Michael van Gerwen as well had a quite easy match though Jeffrey de Graaf managed to win two sets. The other three matches were hard fought and were won in the end by Chris Dobey, Callan Rydz and Luke Littler
with 4:3. Tomorrow is another break, on the 1. January the tournament will continue with the quarterfinals.

On the twelfth day of the tournament first the last four matches of the third round were played and two more seeded players were eliminated. Kevin Doets first was 0:2 behind
against seed Krzysztov Ratajski but managed to win 4:2. Even worse hit it number seed 11 Dimitri van den Bergh who was whitewashed by a once again outstanding playing
Callan Rydz with 0:4. The other third round matches were won by Jeffrey de Graaf and Robert Owen. After that the first two second round matches took place which brought
the biggest upset of the tournament so far as a strong playing Peter Wright eliminated reigning champion Luke Humphries while Gerwyn Price got a hard fought win over Jonny Clayton.

Mervyn King

Mervyn King is as well one of the characters in darts who began his career in the BDO and got well known before he switched to the PDC in 2007.
King neither last nor this year managed to qualify for the PDC World Championship in which he took part sixteen times. He will lose his Tour Card.
It is not known whether he intends to try to get it back.

What you should know as well: Paolo Nebrida is the last international qualifier still in the tournament and the first ever player from the Philippines to reach the third round.
In fact he is after Segio Asada 2020 the only second player from Asia in the third round of a PDC World Championship.

PDC World Championship - Day 11

On the eleventh day of the tournament six more third round matches were played. The most thrilling and closest match was the first match of the afternoon-session in which in the end Ryan Joyce prevailed 4:3 over Ryan Searle.
Clear wins got Ricardo Pietreczko, Nathan Aspinall and Chris Dobey. Michael van Gerwen defeated Brendan Dolan 4:2 but was far from vastly superior. Luke Littler had a rather slow start into his match against a strong playing Ian White
but improved a lot and won 4:1.

What you should know as well: Both Josh Rock and Gian van Veen are PDC World Youth Champions - Rock won the tournament in 2022, van Veen is the 2024 champion. Rock lost 2023 in the quarterfinals to van Veen.

The eighth day of the PDC World Championshipt was not a good day for the seeded players. Eight seeds stood on stage and five of them were eliminated - among them in the evening-session Martin Schindler,
Ross Smith and Gary Anderson who all couldn't hit their doubles. Only Ryan Searle, an angry Joe Cullen and Dimitri van den Bergh progressed into the third round.

What you should know as well: Martin Schindler and Dimitri van den Bergh met in 2018 in the final of the PDC World Youth Championship. Van den Bergh won and defended his title. Both players took part five times in the World Youth Championship and in several years as well
in the PDC World Championship. Van den Bergh will play this year his already tenth PDC World Championship, for Schindler it will be his sixth.

The last two first round matches in the afternoon-session were won by the debutants Rhys Griffin and Alexis Toylo. There were two upsets in the second round matches -
Ryan Joyce eliminated Danny Noppert from the event and in the weakest match of the day Raymond van Barneveld lost to Nick Kenny. The other seeds - Brendan Dolan, Chris Dobey, Luke Littler and Damon Heta
had no problems to progress into the third round. Littler played against Ryan Meikle a fantastic last set with an average of 140.90.

and lost once to Taylor. In the times before van Barneveld switched to the PDC it was often dicussed whether van Barnveld - who dominated the BDO - or Phil Taylor - who dominated the PDC - where the better player...

Today's Day's Specials: Ian White really played till 2010 in the BDO. The BDO World Championship in 2010 was the only one he took part and he was the number 16 seed while Stephen Bunting took as well part but was unseeded. White lost to Bunting in the first round and switched to the PDC.
With the exception of 2023 White took part from 2012 till today in each PDC World Championship. 2014 - the year in which Bunting won the World Championship - was the year in which White reached the Quarterfinals of
the PDC World Championship - his best result.
What you should know as well: Most of the players today played some WDF Youth events but only White and Bunting stood on the Lakeside stage for the BDO World Championship - White once and Bunting seven times. 2010 was already Bunting's fourth BDO World Championship.
Alexander Merkx took part in the WDF World Championship 2023 and reached the Last 16.

On the fifth day of the tournament six first round and two second round matches were played. The first round matches were won by Lok Yin Lee, Callan Rydz, Martin Lukeman, Nick Kenny, Matt Campbell and Scott Williams,
who always found the answer to whatever strong playing German debutant Niko Springer conjured on the Alexandra Palace stage. Gabriel Clemns had in his second round match not many chances against Robert Owen's impressive performance
and lost. The second second round match between Michael Smith and Kevinc Doets developed into a thriller without happy end for Smith - he lost 2:3 in overtime. The highest average of the night played Callan Rydz with 107.06.

The fourth day of the tournament hadn't looked too promising on paper but developed into a day with entertaining matches, on which Christian Kist even threw a nine-darter. The first round matches were won by
Paolo Nebrida - slightly surprising-, - Madars Razma - not Kist - and very close Ricky Evans who commentated every single of his throws.The tenacious second round match won in the end Nathan Aspinall 3:1.

Happy Birthday, Vincent van der Voort!

Vincent van der Voort started his career in the BDO before he became in the PDC one of the most popular Dutch players who stayed for a long time in the Top 32.
But he suffers already for some time from back problems and problems with his motivation, missed the World Championship already last year, couldn't qualify this year and will lose his
Tour Card.
Today is his 49. birthday - nevertheless to be sure reason to celebrate.

James Hurrell, Kevin Doets and Ryan Joyce won the first round matches of the afternoon-session, in the evening Jeffrey de Graaf, Ricardo Pietreczko and Ryan Meikel - in a close match against Fallon Sherrock -
prevailed. Though Rashad Sweening from the Bahamas lost his first round match to Jeffrey de Graaf he was the crowd favourite of the day.
Luke Woodhouse caused the next second round upset by eliminating Mike de Decker. Peter Wright on the other side somehow managed to fight through against Wesley Plaisier into the third round.

On the second day of the tournament we did see some entertaining first round matches though far from all were highclass. From the debutants German Kai Gotthardt impressed the most
who stayed focussed even though his barrel broke and defeated Alan Soutar 3:1 to prpgress into the second round where he'll meet Stephen Bunting.
The highest first round average today played Connor Scutt with 101.92. The biggest upset caused Jermaine Wattimena who eliminated James Wade in the first second round match with 3:0. Gerwyn Price on the other side showed a solid performance to defeat Keany Barry - who was unable to cope - with 3:0.

PDC World Championship - Day 1

The biggest upset of the first evening-session of the tournament was the clear 3:1 win of Keane Barry over the strong playing Kim Huybrechts who missed toomany doubles.
A very nervous Thibault Tricole won the entertaining opening match of the World Championship 3:1 against Joe Comito but couldn't win a single leg against reigning champion Luke Humphries who had no problems at all.
Jermaine Wattimena had with 98.54 the highest average of the night and defeated Swiss Stefan Bellmont with 3:0.

Paul Lim started his long dart career in the BDO as well - at that time no other organisation existed and no other World Championship either. Lim was later among the players who split off
the BDO and he was one of the founders of World Darts Councils, later PDC, though he didn't stand at the oche during the first PDC World Championship. His biggest World Championship success though

WDF World Championships

On the stage of the Lakeside Country Clubs in Frimley Green on Sunday night three new and one old World Champions were crowned. Paige Pauling defeated Sophie McKinlay in the girl's final and became with the so far
highest average in the history of the WDF Girls World Championship new World Champion. In the boy's final not the number 1 seed Jenson Walker was the winner but the three years younger
Archie Self. Beau Greaves is not at her best in the moment
but nevertheless had no problem to defend her title against Sophie McKinlay - she is now the so far youngest three times World champion in the history of the women's event. Paul Lim couldn't end his lakeside fairytale with a
win in the final but he at least won three sets after a very one-sided start of the match. Shane McGuirk is now the first ever first Irish World Champion.

Today was semi-finals day in the Lakeside Country Club - in each of the sessions one Girls-, one Boys-, one Women's - and one Men's semifinal took place. In the Girl's event Paige Pauling
and Sophie McKinlay prevailed, the the Boy's event it were Jenson Walker and Archie Self. In the Women's tournament Sophie McKinlay and reigning champion Beau Greaves were the winners.
The first semi-final of the men was a clear affair - Shane McGuirk defeated Francois Schweyen with 5:0. With the same result Paul Lim defeated Jason Brandon who just couldn't hit his doubles.

On the sixth day of the tournament more women's second round matches took place and in the men's tournament the second round was played to the end and the first two
third round matches took place.In the women's event we saw wins for Aletta Wajer and Lerena Rietbergen, who caused an upset by beating Rhian O'Sullivan and progressed at her debut in the quarterfinals. The last
men's second round matches were won by Barry Copeland, Sybren Gijbels and Jason Brandon. The second round winners were Belgian Francois Schweyen and Irish Shane McGuirk
who played in his third match again an average of over 90.
Today the women play the second round to the end. In the men's event the third round will be played to the end. Beside we'll see in each session a boy's quarterfinal.

in the women's event it was Desi Mercer. Reigning champion Beau Greaves had no problems to prevail over Kirsi Viinikainen no more than Jimmy van Schie - one of the top favorits of the men, who
showed the so far outstanding performance of the tournament. Legend Paul Lim had to fight hard but in the end progressed into round three as well.
In the Women's event the second round will continue, in the Men's event the second round will be played to the end and the first two third round matches will take place.

On the fourth day of the tournament the first round of the women and the men will be played to the end. Among the first round winners of the men were Hannes Schnier and Paul Lim, who returned after 30 years to the Lakeside
and played as Schnier and average of over 90 - Those were the two highest averages of the night. Lerena Rietbergen was the last first round winner of the women,
the first women's second round match ended with an 2:1 comeback win of Deta Hedman, who started weaked but then was clearly better then Kirsty Hutchinson. The two Australians Brandon Weening and
Peter Machin were the first second round winners of the men.
On the fifth day of the event only second round matches will be played and we'll see tournament favourit Jimmy van Schie and reigning champion Beau Greaves.

At the in the Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green this year's WDF World Championships continued at the weekend. In the men's event Brian Raman convinced again with
his second round win over number 16 seed Martyn Turner. The best performances of the tournament so far showed Irishman Shane McGuirk who played in his first round match an 92.81 average and won his second round match
against number 13 seed Swede Edwin Torbjörnsson with an 96.16 average. Cliff Prior is so far the only seed who won his second round match.
In the women's event it were Czech Jitka Cisarova and Scot Sophie McKinlay who impressed the most. McKinlay caused the so far biggest upset as she eliminated a good playing Lisa Ashton.

Yesterday in the Lakeside Country Club in Frimley Green this year's WDF World Championships started. In an evening-session four men's first round matches took place. With the exception of
Belgian Brian Braman only debutants stood on stage which showed a little bit in the quality of the matches. Raman and his fellow country man Francois Schweyen showed from the winners with averages of over
87 the best performances. Beside the two Belgians the Englishmen Carl Wilkinson and Scott Walters progressed into the second round.

Today Wigan the Tour Card Holders Qualifier for the PDC World Championship took place, four tournament places were on offer, which Matt Campbell, Jeffrey de Zwaan,

Humphries defends title

In a highclass final Luke Humphries defeated Luke Littler with 11:7 and defended his title. Both players played a good tournament but it was Humphries who was in the final
the deciding little bit stronger. Littler defeated on finals day first Mike de Decker clearly with
3:10 and then in the semi-finals a strong playing Ross Smith with 11:9. Humphries prevailed in the quarterfinals 10:5 over Ryan Joyce and in the semi-finals 11:8
over the reinvigorated Dirk van Duijvenbode.

Van Veen New World Youth Champion

After Gian van Veen lost in the final of the PDC Winmau World Youth Championship to Luke Littler last year he this year won the title. It was a very close
6:5 win over his fellow country man Jurjen van der Velde and van Veen first look slightly doubtful that he really had won the deciding leg - in which his opponent had three matchdarts - of the highclass match.
Then the new Champion first solaced his opponent but in the end both players looked pleased.

Luke Littler wins Grand Slam of Darts

Luke Littler dominated the final of the Grand Slam of Darts and won the very one-sided match against Martin Lukeman with 16:3. For Littler it is the first
ranking TV title by which he moves up to the fifth place in the Order of Merit.
Before Lukeman defeated in the semi-finals Mickey Mansell with an average of almost 100, he couldn't keep up this performance in the final.

Grand Slam of Darts Day 7

The first quarterfinal night of the Grand Slam showed again how unpredictable the results of this year's tournament are - the commentators had predicted at the start of the evening for both matches the wrong winner.
The first close semi-final was won by Mickey Mansell who had throughout the match problems to hit his doubles, but in the deciding leg against Cameron Menzies hit the double for the win with his first dart.
The second quarterfinal was dominated after a good start from Rob Cross most of the time by Martin Lukeman who won with 16:11.

The second night of the Last 16 was thrilling and more highclass then the first one. It started with a close match between Jermaine Wattimena and Dimitri van den Bergh. Van den Bergh couldn't find the final double, Wattimena hit it with his fifth matchdart and won. In the second match Ryan Joyce
had no chance against a once again scintillating playing Gian van Veen. The match between Luke Littler and Mike de Decker was a very close thriller with the better end for Littler.

The first night of the knockout phase brought some surprising results. Mickey Mansell defeated Danny Noppert in the first match of the night deservedly with 10:7.
Cameron Menzies - who only just progressed into the knock-out phase - prevailed in the deciding leg of a close match 10:9 over James Wade and almost couldn't believe it. Martin Lukeman won

On the last nigth with group matches even more top players were elimnated. With Michael Smith and Michael van Gerwen the numbers two and three of the world were defeated for the second time and
went out. Michael Smith lost 5:0 to Mike de Decker and had not a single dart on the doubles. Michael van Gerwen managed to draw 4:4 in his match against Ryan Joyce but played a weak
deciding leg and Joyce won 5:4. Beside de Decker and Joyce Stephen Bunting and Dimitri van den Bergh got their second win and progressed under the last 16 as did Gary Anderson, Jermaine Wattimena,

Kai Gotthardt won the PDC Europe Super League and and by this secured a place in the PDC World Championship. Gotthardt prevailed in the final with 8:7
over Paul Krohne who before impressed both in the quarterfinals and in the semis with highclass performances.
Gotthardt defeated on Finals Day first Franz Roeztsch and then Dominik Gruellich both in the deciding leg. Krohne reached the final with wins over Leon Weber and reigning champion Dragutin Horvat but there was less accurate on his doubles.

In Hildesheim yesterday the Group Phase of the PDC Europe Super League was played to the end.
At the head of the group tables on the second day of the group phase there were several changes - the three Tour Card holders Lukas Wenig, Pascal Rupprecht and Daniel Klose all moved down to
the second place in their groups while reigning champion Dragutin Horvat and Kai Gotthardt stood their ground on top of their groups. Arno Merk ousted in Group B Patrick Tringler on third place and progressed under the Last 16. In Group E Steven Noster

Edhouse wins European Championship

With an 11:3 defeat of Jermaine Wattimena in the final Ritchie Edhiouse won the European Championship in Dortmund. For Edhouse it is the first PDC title.
Edhouse reached the final with wins over Gary Anderson and Luke Woodhouse, Wattimena defeated on finals day Luke Humphries and Danny Noppert. The final was less highclass then the other matches of the two
players before and Jermaine Wattimena suddenly had big problems to hit a double. So the final was quite one-sided but nevertheless entertaining.

With an 8:1 win over Kim Huybrechts in a very one-sided but nevertheless entertaining final Luke Humphries secured his second European Tour title of the year. While replacement player Kim Huybrechts reached the final in his half of the draw
with wins against Pavel Drtil, a very disappointed Jermaine Wattimena and Niels Zonneveld, Humphries prevailed in his clearly stronger half over Gian van Veen, Mike de Decker and Luke Littler. Littler defeated in a sensational

PDC Winmau World Youth Championship 2024

After the last Development Tour events yesterday in Wigan all rounds of the Winmau World Youth Championship 2024 down to the final took place.
The final will be played on 24. November during the Players Championship Finals in Minehead. Gian van Veen and Jurjen van der Velde will be the two finalists.
They won their semi-finals against the Irishmen Dylan Slevin and Keane Barry.
Van Veen already stood in the final last year but lost to Luke Littler who this year decided not to take part in the event.

PDC Development Tour

At the weekend in Wigan the last four events of the PDC Development Tour 2024 took place.
Wessel Nijman won two of the events, the other two were won by Tavis Dudeney und Henry Coates gewonnen.
Wessel Nijman ends the season as top of the ranking followed by German Niko Springer on second place and Irishman Keane Barry on place 3.
As Wessel Nijman is already qualified for the PDC World Championship, the two Development Tour places in the tournament go to Niko Springer and
Keane Barry. Springer and Sebastian Bialecki will get due to their places in the ranking both a two years Tour Card.

WDF World Masters

Dutchman Wesley Plaisier defended in Budapest his World Masters title. He prevailed in the final with 7:3 over German Kai Gotthardt. In the semi-finals
stood Englishman Connor Scutt and Dutchman Corne Groenveld. Beau Greaves as well defended her title with a
6:0 win over Rhian O'Sullivan in the final. German Irina Armstrong and Czech Jitka Cisarova were the semi-finalists. Paige Pauling managed the same in the girls event - she as well defended the title she first won
in 2022 and defeated in the final Italian Nicole Sescu Gal with 5:0. In the semifinals stood Italian Giada Macchi and Sophie McKinlay from Scotland. Only in the boy's event there was a new champion.
Belgian Lex Paeshuyse prevailed in the final over Mason Teese from England. German Florian Preis and Czech Matyas Reihon stood in the semi-finals.

De Decker wins World Grand Prix

The surprise winner of the tournament was in the end the winner - Mike de Decker defeated in the final of the World Grand Prix Luke Humphries
with 6:4 and is now the first ever Belgian winner of the tournament. Decker had the far better start in the match and soon was 4:1 in the lead. Humphries managed
to draw 4:4 but de Decker kept his nerve, stayed undeterred and won the match.

PDC World Grand Prix - Semi-Finals

In the first semi-final Mike de Decker and Dimitri van den Bergh met and both players looked rather nervous in the first set. While
de Decker seemed to regain his composure and to get more and more comfident that never happened to van den Bergh who experienced a lot of trouble with his
starting double. In the end Mike de Decker won with 5:2 and progressed into his first TV ranking final.
The second semi-final was completely different - Humphries stormed with a sensational performance through the five sets to victory
though his opponent Ryan Joyce played strong as well. Joyce had no chance, Humphries won 5:0 and again stands in the final of the World Grand Prix.

Tonight at the World Grand Prix in Leicester the semi-finals will take place.
With reigning champion Luke Humphries only one of the players one could have awaited in this round reached the Last Four. Two of the other players,
Ryan Joyce and Mike de Decker, are not even seeds. Dimitri van den Bergh is one of the seeds and he won the UK Open this year, but he played rather unobstrusive
over the last months. For the very first time two Belgian players stand in the semi-finals of a PDC Major and they compete against one another in the first semi-final.
After that Luke Humphries will meet Ryan Joyce in the second semi-final - not really a sure-fire success for him, as Joyce turned out to be very clinical on his entrance double, the double 16,
which was an important factor in his sucessfull run so far.

On quarterfinals night the upsets continued. Though the match statistics doesn't explain why James Wade was defeated in the first game 0:3 by Mike de Decker. The second match
was won by Ryan Joyce 3:2. It was quite evenly matched but Cross often was unable to use the opportunities he created for himself. Luke Humphries
didn't play his best match but progressed nevertheless into the semi-finals. In the last quarterfinal we had a Belgian win as well - Dimitri van den Bergh defeated Joe Cullen with 3:1. Cullen started good but
dwindled away more and more.

The second night of the second round started as well with an upset - Mike de Decker defeated Gary Anderson - who never really was in the match -
with 3:0. With the same result James Wade prevailed in the second match over a once again patchy Gerwyn Price. The following match between

The first second round evening started with an upset - Ryan Joyce prevailed in a dramatic match 3:2 over Nathan Aspinall. In the following two matches
one German players each stood on stage. Both Schindler and Pietreczko showed solid performances but both experienced some Double-In trouble and both had only one convincing set.
Their opponents Cross and Humphries won with 3:1. In the last match of the night Jonny Clayton and Ross Smith met. Smith had a strong start but couldn't keep it up and Clayton won 3:1.

PDC World Youth Championship 2024

The international qualifiers and the pre qualified Tour Card holders who will take part in the event are known and were published by the PDC.
Four of the Tour Card holders decided not to take part: Josh Rock, reigning champion Luke Littler, Pascal Rupprecht and Leighton
Bennett. The number of participants expands to 128 - the places still available will be comprised of players from the final PDC Development Tour Orders of Merit. Cut off date
is the 13. October after the 24. and last event of the year.
All rounds down to the final of the World Youth Championship will be played on 14. October in Wigan, the final will take place

On the second day of the World Grand Prix the first round was played to the end. Many of the eight matches were hard fought and needed a deciding set. The so far biggest upset of the tournament
caused Daryl Gurney, who defeated Michael van Gerwen with 2:0; van Gerwen couldn't win a single leg. As well with 2:0 Dave Chisnall defeated Cameron Menzies wo as well didn't win a leg.
2:1 wins got a strong playing Dimitri van den Bergh, Mike de Decker, James Wade against an out of form Peter Wright, Gerwyn Price who was in a from both players weak match a little bit better then
Danny Noppert, Gary Anderson who never was in front throughout his match against Michael Smith and Joe Cullen who improved a lot after the first set.

On the first day of the World Grand Prix there were several upsets. Ryan Joyce eliminated Josh Rock who was as chanceless as in the last match of the night Gian van Veen against an outstanding Ross Smith.
Luke Littler lost to Rob Cross for whom a few great legs in the third legs sufficed for the win. Ricardo Pietreczko was the only debutant who reached the next round - he defeated a far from his best
Raymond van Barneveld. Martin Schindler progressed with a solid performance into the second round as did a very convincing Jonny Clayton. Reigning champion Luke Humphries survived a very close
match against Stephen Bunting. As close but slightly more highclass was the match between Nathan Aspinall and Ryan Searle in which Aspinall prevailed in the end.

Schindler wins in Basel

Martin Schindler won the Swiss Darts Trophy in Basel and secured his second European Tour title of the year. He defeated in an at the end close final Ryan Searle - who missed several matchdarts
- with 8:7. Searle had a big lead till the middle of the match but Schindler reduced it by winning leg after leg and than won the deciding and last leg of the match.
In the semi-finals stood Josh Rock and Callan Rydz but both had no chance at all against their opponents.

Anderson and Chisnall win Players Championships

The two Players Championships in Leicester were won by Gary Anderson and Dave Chisnall.
Anderson won Players Championship 22 - he defeated in the final Connor Scutt. The semi-finals reached Christian Kist and James Wade. With a similar strong performance Dave Chisnall won the 23. Players Championship.
He prevailed in the final over Chris Dobey. In the semi-finals stood Stephen Burton and Martin Schindler.
Both for Anderson and for Chisnall it was the second Players Championship title of the year.
Dobey threw in his semi-final against Schindler a nine-darter. Adam Warner as well threw a nine-darter during the 23. Players Championship.

At the weekend in Bownsburg, Indiana, the last three CDC events of the year took place. Two of the events were won by Adam Sevada and one by Jake Womack.
Both moved up by this in the Point Ranking - but not far enough to oust Leonard Gates, Jim Long and Stowe Buntz at the head of the ranking.
So Gates, Long and Buntz qualified for the PDC World Championship 2024/25. For all three it will be the second PDC World Championship.
The Top 16 of the ranking will take part in the Continental Cup which ends this year's season. Among them is three times World Champion John Part.

After the end of the Next Gen Tour the PDC Europe now announced the participants of this year's Super League which will take place from 5. - 8. November in Hildesheim, Germany.
The number of participants was increased to 30 - one half qualified by the Next Gen Tour rankings, the other half are the last 16 of last year's
Super League with the exception of Manfred Bilderl who decided not to take part. As always the winner of the Super League qualifies for the PDC World Championship. Last year it was Dragutin Horvat
who in 2024 again wil play the Super League.

Van Gerwen wins Hungarian Darts Trophy

With 8:7 Michael van Gerwen won the final of the Hungarian Darts Trophy against his felllow country man Gian van Veen and got his first European Tour title of the year.
Van Gerwen reached the final with wins over Gabriel Clemens, Josh Rock and Ross Smith on finals day and was only under pressure in the final. Van Veen defeated today similar easily Danny Noppert, Wessel Nijmann,
and Ryan Searle against him he slightly lost his momentum near the end of the match.

Today is Finals Day of the Hungarian Darts Trophy in Budapest. In the afternopon-session the third round will be played. In the evening-session quarterfinals, semifinals and the
final will follow.
In the second round both Norwegian Cor Dekker and Michael van Gerwen threw a nine-darter. While Dekker nevertheless lost to Stephen Bunting Michael van Gerwen progressed with a strong performance.

On the second day of the Hungarian Darts Trophy today in Budapest in an afternoon- and an evening-session the second round will take place. The first round winners

Luke Littler defeated in the final of the World Series of Darts Finals Michael Smith with 11:4 and is the new champion.
Littler was unstoppable on finals day and defeated on his way to the final first Chris Dobey and then in the semi-finals Michael van Gerwen who showed a good performance but was
nevertheless as chanceless as Michael Smith was in the final. Smith reached the final with wins over Rob Cross and Peter Wright.

Dave Chisnall won the Flanders Darts Trophy in Antwerpen. He defeated in the final Ricardo Pietreczko with 8:6 and won his second European Tour
title of the year.

Today in Antwerpen the Flanders Darts Trophy continues with the second round in an afternoon - and an evening session. The seeded players
will play gainst the first round winners.
The biggest upset of the first round caused Andrew Gilding who defeated with a strong performance local hero Dimitri van den Bergh.
Gilding will play tonight against German Ricardo Pietreczko. All four Belgian Home Nation Qualifiers lost theit first round matches.

Luke Humphries won in Hamilton, New Zealand, the last World Series Event of the year - the New Zealand Darts Masters. He defeated in the final

on the World Series. He reached the final with wins over Kayden Milne, Michael Smith and Luke Littler. Heta defeated on his way

Gerwyn Price won Wollongong in Australia the Australien Darts Masters with an 8:1 demolition of Luke Littler.
Price reached the final with wins over Brenton Lloyd, Damon Heta and Peter Wright. Littler, who couldn't keep up his impressive
perfomances in the final, defeated on his way to the final Rob Modra, Luke Humphries and Dimitri van den Bergh.

At the weekend in Milton Keynes five ecents of the PDC Development Tour took place.
The five events were dominated by Wessel Nijmann and Niko Springer. Nijmann won events 16, 17 and 19, Springer events 18 and 20. Two times the two players met in the Finals
and each one time was the winner. In the other two events Spinger reached the semi-finals while Nijmann lost in the 20. event in the semi-finals. Beau Greaves took part at the weekend as well
reaching two quarterfinals and one semi-final.
Nijmann now heads the table followed by Springer.

Humphries wins World Matchplay

Luke Humphries defeated in the final of the World Matchplay Michael van Gerwen with 18:15 and for the first time won the title.
The final was a highclass match in which Michael van Gerwen had his share as well which what had not really to be expected after his first matches in the tournament.
In the first half of the match he was even in the lead several times but Humphries got stronger, more consistent and more convincing
and won in the end against an appearingly disappointed van Gerwen with an 100 checkout.

Greaves defends title

With an impressive performance in the final Beau Greaves defended her Women's World Matchplay title and qualified for both the Grand Slam of Darts and the
PDC World Championship.
Greaves defeated in the final Fallon Sherrock with 6:3 and an average of 98.75 - a clear improvement compared to her previous matches. Greaves prevailed in the quarterfinals over
Katie Sheldon and in the semi-finals over Mikuru Suzuki. Sherrock defeated on her way into the final first debutant Anastasia Dobromyslova and than in a

PDC World Matchplay - Semi-Finals

The two semi-finals were won by Luke Humphries and Michael van Gerwen who will play tomorrow in the evening-session the final.
Luke Humphries defeated in the first semi-final James Wade with 17:10. For a long time it was a balanced match but after Humphries got the 8:7 lead he pulled clear.
The second semifinal between Michael van Gerwen was a match of ebbs and flow and a match of missed doubles. After Smith had drawn 12:12
he no longer was in the races and van Gerwen won 17:13.

The second quarterfinal evening Rob Cross probably will remember as a pitch-black day - he couldn't keep up his so far great performances at all and the match was mostly shaped
by his problems to hit a double. At one time his hitting rate was 7 percent. It improved till the end of the match to 21 percent but the deserved
16:7 winner of the match in the end was Michael Smith. Smith will play in the semi-finals against
Michael von Gerwen who won 16:10 against Andrew Gilding who even had been in the lead early in the match but probably had some
problems with the long format of the match.

The winners of the first two quarterfinals were James Wade uand Luke Humphries. James Wade defeated with a highclass and throughout consistent performance Ross Smith with 16:10 - Ross
just didn't find a way to cope with it. Luke Humphries defeated Dimitri van den Bergh with the same results but he struggled first a lot with himself and the Belgian again and again came close. Only in the
last legs Humphries found into his stride and drew away.

The last four matches of the second round started with an astonishing clear 11:5 win of Andrew Gilding over Krzysztof Ratajski. It followed the
outstanding match of the night between Rob Cross and Ryan Searle which was won almost as clear with 11:6 and an average of 106.99 by Cross. Michael van Gerwen won his match
against Joe Cullen 11:8. The match started quite one-sided and Cullen improved too late to turn the match around. In the last second round match Michael Smith and Chris Dobey met.
It started rather one-sided but got very close before Smith came with 11:9 over the finishing line.

The first day of the second round ended Nathan Aspinalls attempt to defend his title despite his arm injury, he lost 8:11 to James Wade.
As well eliminated were seeds Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton - they lost to Ross Smith and Dimitri van den Bergh.
Luke Humphries is through to the quarterfinals too - he defeated Stephen Bunting with 11:7.
Tonight the other four matches of the second round will be played - among others Rob Cross, Michael Smith and Michael van Gerwen will stand on stage.

PDC World Matchplay - Day 2

The second day of the World Matchplay was a little bit pressed for time which one could feel in the last match of the night. Seed Dave Chisnall looked rather nervous und
couldn't get anything straight - he lost 2:10 against Krzysztof Ratajski. Seed Peter Wright was not really at ease either and was eliminated by Andrew Gilding.
The third seeded player who lost his match was Danny Noppert who in the afternoon-session couldn't cope with James Wade. Highlights of the day were Dimitri van den Bergh's nine-darter, Bunting's win in the
Tie Break against Ryan Joyce and a fantastic match between Rob Cross and Gian van Veen which Cross won in a Sudden Death Leg.
Tonight the last four first round matches will be played - among them the highly anticipated game between Michael van Gerwen and Luke Littler.

On the first night of the World Matchplay all seeds won the matches with good performances and progressed into the
second round. The outstanding performance came from Luke Humphries who defeated with an average of over 108 an as well
strong playing German debutant Ricardo Pietreczko 10:4. One could see that reigning champion Aspinall
had problems with his injured throwing arm but he battled and won.
Today there will be two sessions. As the English football national team will play the final of the European Championship they will start both earlier then usually.
The afternoon-session will begin at 12 BST, the evening-session at 16.30 BST.

With a 10:6 win over a courageous Austrian Team the Team from England won the PDC World Cup.
With the English Team - in which World Champion Luke Humphries gave his debut beside Michael Smith - the number 1 seed
and strongest team won the tournament. England defeated on its way to the final today first the Team from Northern Ireland and in the semi-finals
Team Scotland. Team Austria reached the final with wins over Croatia and Belgium.

Today the World Cup in Frankfurt will be played to the end. In the afternoon-session the quarterfinals will take place, in the evening-session semi-finals
and final will be played.
With Wales and the Netherlands two of the four Top seeds were already eliminated in the second round. Wales lost to Team Croatia, Team Netherlands
had an average of over 100 but an awful hitting rate on the doubles and lost with 2:8 against a strong Team Belgium. The German Team is out as well, it was defeated By
Team Northern Ireland with 8:7. Team England and Team Scotland - the other two top seeds - progressed without problems

Tomorrow in Frankfurt the PDC World Cup will begin. The PDC already published the schedule of the first day of the tournament on which

Chisnall wins European Darts Open

With a 8:6 win over Ross Smith in the final Dave Chisnall won the European Darts Open in Leverkusen. For Chisnall it was already the

Today the European Darts Open in Leverkusen will be played to the end. In the afternoon-session the third round will be played, in the evening-session
quarterfinals, semi-finals and final will follow.
From the seeds in the second round already five were eliminated - among them reigning champion Gerwyn Price who lost 2:6 to
Dirk van Duijvenbode and World Champion Luke Humphries who was defeated 4:6 by Raymond van Barneveld.

After the Bahrain Darts Masters Luke Littler now won the Poland Darts Masters as well. He defeated in the final Rob Cross with 8:3.
As Littler Cross showed till the final strong performances. Littler reached the final with wins over a strong Peter Wright and Michael Smith.
Cross defeated on finals day Stephen Bunting and reigning champion Michael van Gerwen - who had in the quarterfinals with 109.98
the highest average of the night.

Today in Hildesheim the Tour Card Holders Qualifiers for the European Tour Events in Hildesheim and Antwerpen were played which will
take place end of August and beginning of September.
Only two players managed to qualify for both events - Maik Kuivenhoven and Martin Lukeman.

The two Players Championships in Hildesheim were won by Alan Soutar and Dimitri van den Bergh.
Alan Soutar won the 11. Players Championship on Tuesday - he defeated in the final Daryl Gurney with 8:7. The semi-finals reached
Raymond van Barneveld and Dirk van Duijvenbode. Stephen Bunting and Adam Hunt threw nine-darters.
On Wednesday Dimitri van den Bergh won Players Championship 12 - he defeated in the final Matt Campbell. In the semi-finals stood Danny Noppert and Madars Razma.
The nine-darter of the day threw Boris Krcmar.

At the weekend in Leicester five more events of the PDC Challenge Tour took place. Most successfull player was Christian Kist whio won two of the events
and by this moved up to the second place of the ranking. Beside Kist threw in the 11. event the Challenge Tour a nine-darter.
The other three winners were Connor Scutt, Justin Hood and Wesley Plaisier.

Price wins in Copenhagen
Gerwyn Price won the Nordic Darts Masters in Copenhagen. He defeated in the final Rob Cross with 8:5 - a revanche for his defeat in the final
last weekand at the US Darts Masters. Price reached the final with wins over Madars Razma, Dimitri van den Bergh and Michael Smith. Cross
prevailed over Jeffrey de Graaf (with a recard average of 108.13), Stephen Bunting and Luke Humphries. Reigning champion
Peter Wright was the only PDC representative who lost his first round match - Johan Engström defeated him in a close match 6:5.

Last weekend in Finland the third weekend of the PDC Nordic und Baltic Tour took place with two Pro Tour Events and three European Tour
Qualifiers. Swedes Johan Engström and Jeffrey de Graaf were the winners of the Pro Tour Events - Engström as well reached lost to de Graaf in the second final.
Engström beside qualified for the German Darts Championship - the ninth European Tour Event while Marko Kantele qualified for The
European Tour Events 8 and 10.

Qhalified have Krzysztof Kciuk (ET 9), Sebastian Bialecki (ET 10 + 11) Nandor Pres (ET 12) and Patrik Kovacs (ET 13). The Home Nation Qualifiers
for the Hungarian Darts Trophy are Andras Csoka, Gyorgy Jehirszki, Alberto Mario Bezjian and Janos Vegso.

Cross wins in New York
Rob Cross won the title with a close 8:7 win over Gerwyn Price in the final. It is his first US Darts Masters title.
Cross reached the final with wins over Adam Sevada, reigning champion Michael van Gerwen and World Champion Luke Humphries. Price defeated Jules van Dongen,
Peter Wright and Luke Littler. Jeff Smith was the only North American representative who reached the second round. He defeated
Michael Smith but had no chance in the second round against Luke Littler.

Campbell Wins North American Championship
Canadian Matt Campbell won thanks to his consistent performances the North American Championship.
He defeated on his way in the final Jeff Smith and
David Cameron before he prevailed in the final over Stowe Buntz. Buntz reached the final with wins over Jules van Dongen and Adam Sevada.
Campbell was the deserved winner but due to a PDC rule as a Tour Card Holder is not eligible to qualify for the World Darts Championship
or Grand Slam of Darts, despite winning the North American Championship. Another player of the Championship Darts Corporation
will get the places.

Beside the quarterfinals, the semi-finals and the final of the U.S. Darts Masters on Saturday in New York the North

Young Northern Irishman Josh Rock won in Rosmalen his first European Tour title. He defeated in the final Jonny Clayton with 8:4.

On the second day of the Dutch Darts Championship in Rosmalen the second round will be played again in an
afternoon- and an evening-session. The seeded players come into the tournament and play against the
first round winners.
In the first round the Dutch players were quite sucessfull - six from nine progressed. Eliminated were only Christian Kist, Damian Mol and
Raymond van Barneveld who was steamrolled by Cameron Menzies. Today in the afternoon-session reigning champion Dave Chisnall will play

Sensational Littler wins Premier League
Luke Littler win in the O2Arena in London the final of the Premier League with another great performance 11:7 against an as well strong playing
Luke Humphries and is the new Premier League Champion. Littler threw a nine-darter in the final.
Before Littler defeated in the semi-finals Michael Smith with 10:5 while Humphries prevailed with the same result over Michael van Gerwen.

Smith wins last League Day
Michael Smith defeated on the last League Day in Sheffield not only his main rival for a Play-Off place Nathan Aspinall but won the League Day and progressed as last player
after Luke Littler, Luke Humphries and Michael van Gerwen into the Top Four. He will now play next Thursday in the Play-Offs in London against head of the table

Humphries wins 15. League Day
Luke Humphries won the 15. League Day of Premier League in Leeds and by this confirmed his second playce in the table. He defeated
in the final Michael van Gerwen who ousted Nathan Aspinall from the third place. Michael Smith and Luke Littler stood in
the semi-finals - but both lost there with 6:1 against Humphries and van Gerwen respectively. Smith now is only one point behind Aspinall.
The two players will meet next Thursday in a all deciding quarterfinal in the hunt of the fourth Play-Off place.

Only Luke Littler and Luke Humphries already secured a place in the Play-Offs - for them it's only about the place in the ranking.

At the weekend in Hildesheim, Germany, five events of the PDC Development Tour took place.
The two events on Friday were won by Roman Benecky and Gian van Veen. On Saturday the winners were Wessel Nijmann and Nathan Rafferty.
The event on Sunday had with Niko Springer a German winner. Springer beside reached on Saturday the final against Wessel Nijman and was by far the most
successfull German player of the weekend.
Gian van Veen - who beside his win reached Sunday's final and a semi-final and a quarterfinal - heads the ranking, Springer
moved up to sixth place.

Littler wins as well in Aberdeen
On the 14. Premier League night in Aberdeen again Luke Littler was the winner - he defeated in the highclass final
Rob Cross with 6:4. Littler reached the final with a close win over Nathan Aspinall and a clear win against Michael Smith. Cross
defeated for the second time in a row Michael van Gerwen and after that in a close semi-final Luke Humphries, who had some problems with his doubles.
Littler expanded his lead but nothing changed in the table.
Beside van Gerwen in Aberdeen Gerwyn Price - who had withdrawn due to a back injury -, Peter Wright and Nathan Aspinall couldn't win a point.

Luke Littler won in Graz his second European Tour title of the year. He defeated in the final of tbe Austrian Darts
Open Joe Cullen with 8:4. On finals day Littler defeated beside Krzysztof Ratajski, Danny Noppert and Ross Smith while Cullen prevailed over Dave Chisnall,
Gian van Veen - in one of the outstanding matches of the tournament - and Stephen Bunting. As Littler Cullen showed
throughout convincing performances though he run slightly out of steam in the final.

Third Day win for Littler in Liverpool
Luke Littler celebrated in Liverpool his thrid day win of the season - he defeated in at first very one-sided final Rob Cross with 6:2.
By this Littler now is first of the table while Luke Humphries - who lost his quarterfinal to Nathan Aspinall - now is second. Littler
defeated in his quarterfinal Gerwyn Price and in the semi-finals Nathan Aspinall. Cross prevailed over Michael Smith and Michael van Gerwen who was far from his best.
No point got in Liverpool beside Humphries Gerwyn Price, Peter Wright and Michael Smith.

At the weekend in Graz the Austrian Darts Open will take place - the fifth European Tour Event of the year. Tormorrow as always on the first day of the tournament only the qualifiers will stand
at the oche. In an afternoon- and an evening-session the first round will be played.
By the Host Nation Qualifier today qualified Zoran Lerchbacher, Dominik Haberl, Hannes Schnier and Christian Goedl for the tournament. Luke Humphries

Today the Premier League travels for the 13. League Day to Liverpool.
The battle for the Play-Off places continues. In the first quarterfinal second of the table Luke Littler will meet sixth of the table Gerwyn Price. After that
head of the table Luke Humphries will play against third of the table Nathan Aspinall who won last week in Rotterdam. In the following quarterfinal Peter Wright - who has with only four points no chance

Nathan Aspinall got in Rotterdam his second day win of the season and moved up to third place of the table. He defeated

Martin Schindler won in Riesa the final against reigning champion Gerwyn Price with 8:5 and is the new International Darts Open Champion. Schindler is the only third German player who
won a PDC tournament. Schindler as Price played consistently good throughout the tournament. In the final Price lost his accuracy on the doubles and Schindler
won deservedly.
Schindler defeated on finals day Richard Veenstra, Danny Noppert and Chris Dobey. Price prevailed over Ricardo Pietreczko, Ross Smith and Stephen Bunting. Against Pietrezcko
he played a new European Tour Rekord Average of 115.74.

Luke Humphries defeated in the final of the German Darts Grand Prix in Munic Michael van Gerwen with 8:1 and retrieved the title he had lost last year.
Humphries dominated the event and played in the final an 112.66 average - van Gerwen had - as all others of Humphries' opponents - no chance at all.

Henderson wins World Senior Championship
Though Scotsman Robert Thornton coudln't defend the title thanks to John Hendersons win the tile stayed in Scotland. John Henderson defeated in the final Colin McGarry with 5:0.
In Finals Day Henderson defeated Andy Hamilton and Canadian Jim Long and only lost one Set on the day. Colin McGarry won withput problems in the quarterfinals 3:1 against Mark Dudbridge
and prevailed in a hard fought semifinal in the deciding set with 4:2 over
Lisa Ashton durch.

The Nordic and Baltic Tour started at the weekend in Latvia in the season 2024.
The three qualifiers for the first three European Tour Events of the year were won by Andreas Harrysson, Viktor Tingström and Cor Dekker gewonnen. The titles of the first two
Pro Tour Events went to Jeffrey de Graaf - with a win over Jani Laurilaa - and Marko Kantele who prevented in the final only just a comeback of Johan Engström.

At the weekend in Hildesheim, Germany the Host Nation Qualifiers for theEuropean Tour Events 2, 3, 4 and 6 in Munic, Riesa, Sindelfingen and Kiel took place. This year for places are on offer for each
event in the Host Nation Qualifiers. Most successful participant was Franz Rötzsch who will stand at the oche in Munic, Sindelfingen and Kiel. Michael Unterbuchner qualified for the events in
Munic and Riesa. As well for Munic qualified beside Oliver Müller and Matthias Ehlers, for Riesa Patrick Klingelhöfner, Kai Gotthardt and Jan Drückers. For Sindelfingen qualified beside Rötzsch Rene
Eidams, Arno Merk and Nike Springer while Maritz Hilger, Kevin Troppmann and Christopher Toonders qualified for Kiel.

Van Gerwen wins in Glasgow as well
Michael van Gerwen prevailed on the third League Day in Glasgow in a close final 6:5 over Luke Humphries and now leads with three points advance the table.
Before he won in the quarterfinals against Peter Wright and in the semi-finals against Rob Cross. Humphries defeated in the quarterfinals Nathan Aspinall
and in the semi-finals Gerwyn Price.
Aspinall and Peter Wright still sit with no point at the bottom of the table.

At the Tour Card Holder Qualifiers today in Wigan four players qualified for both the first European Tour Event in Wieze, Belgium, and for the second European Tour Event in Munic:
Mike de Decker, Lukas Wenig, Jermaine Wattimena and Richard Veenstra.
For the event in Wieze qualified as well Luke Woodhouse, James Hurrell, Daniel Klose, Luke Littler, Berry van Peer and
Chris Landman. In Munic Alan Soutar, Steve Lennon, Jeffrey de Graaf, Niels Zooneveld, Kevin Doets and Cameron Menzies will stand on stage as well.

Littler and Anderson win in Wigan
Luke Littler and Gary Anderson won in Wigan the Players Championships 1 and 2. Both players showed outstanding performances.
Luke Littler won on Monday the first Players Championship of the year with an 8:7 win over Ryan Searle. In the semi-finals stood Alan Soutar and Gian van Veen.
Littler was beside one of three players who threw a nine-darter - the other two nine-darters threw Mickey Mansell and Leighton Bennett.
The second Players Championship on Tuesday was won by Gary Anderson who as well prevailed in the final over Ryan Searle. The semi-finals reached
Peter Wright and Martin Lukeman. Anderson twice just missed a nine-darter throughout the day.
Today in Wigan the qualifiers for the European Tour Events 1 and 2 will take place.

On Monday this year's PDC Pro Tour will begin in Wigan.
On Monday and Tuesday the Players Championships 1 and 2 will be played, on Wednesday the Tour Card Holders Qualifiers for

Van Gerwen wins in Berlin
Michael van Gerwen defeated in the very close final of the second league day in Berlin Luke Littler with 6:5 and got his first day win. Before he defeated in the
quarterfinals Nathan Aspinall with 6:4 and prevailed in the semi-finals over Michael Smith as well in the deciding leg. Littler reached the final with 6:5 wins
over Rob Rob Cross and Luke Humphries.
Michael Smith stays in the first place of the table. Aspinall and Peter Wright sit without points in the last to places of the table.

With a 11:7 win over Michael van Gerwen Stephen Bunting won the Masters and secured his first PDC TV title. With Bunting the most convincing and consistent player won the tournament.

With a 8:6 win over Luke Littler Michael van Gerwen won the Dutch Darts Masters and the Toon Greebe Trophy. The final
was from both players highclass - Littler had with almost 107 the higher average but spoilt to many chances.
Van Gerwen defeated on his way to the final with Vincent van der Voort, Raymond van Barneveld and Gian van Veen three fellow country men. Littler

At the Dutch Darts Masters in the first round the PDC representatives Nathan Aspinall, Peter Wright, Rob Cross and Michael Smith were eliminated. Instead the
Benelux players Danny Nopper, Kevin Doets, Raymond van Barneveld and Gian van Veen progressed into the quarterfinals. As well eliminated was the
reigning champion Dimitri van den Bergh. He lost in the best match of the first round despite an 102.43 average to Gerwyn Price.

The PDC today published the schedule of the quarterfinals of all League Days of the Premier League. The Premier League will begin on Thursday, 1. February with the League Day in Cardiff
and will end on 23. May with the Play-Offs in the O2 Arena in London. On each League Day a mini tournament with quarterfinals, semi-finals and
final will be played. On the first League Day the quarterfinal between the new World Champion Luke Humphries and the World Championship runner-up

World Championship runner-up Luke Littler defeated in the final in Bahrain Michael van Gerwen with 8:5 and won his first PDC senior title. On his way in the final he defeated Nathan Aspinall and Gerwyn Price, in the quarterfinal against
Aspinall Littler threw a nine-darter. Michael van Gerwen reached the final with wins over Rob Cross and Michael Smith where he couldn't quite
built on his previous performances.

On the last day of the final stage the two direct Tour Cards got Englishman Dom Taylor and Swede Jeffrey de Graaf
who were the day winners in Milton Keynes and Kalkar. They defeated in the finals Joshua Richardson and Jitse van der Wal.
The Tour Cards European Qualifying School allocated by the ranking went to Haupai Puha, Jules van Dongen, Radek Szaganski, Chris Landman, Patrick Geeraets, Jitse van der Wal,

The first phase of the Qualifying Schools was played today to the end and the 128 participants in the final phases in both the European and the UK
Qualifying Schools are known.
Among the 24 players who reached the final stage of the European Qualifying School direct were among others the WDF World Champion 2023 Andy Baetens and the former Tour Card
Holders Max Hopp and John Michael. Among the direct qualifiers of the UK Qualifiying School are Andy Hamilton, Fallon Sherrock and the young English talent
Leighton Bennett. The field of participants in both Qualifying Schools was filled up with players from the rankings.

The PDC announced the field of participants of the first two World Series Events of the year. The Bahrain Darts Masters and the Dutch Darts Masters will both take
place in January, the Bahrain Darts Masters on 18. and 19. January, the Dutch Darts Masters on 26. and 27. January.
In both events the eight PDC representatives will play against eight regional representatives. In both events Luke Humphries, Michael van Gerwen,
Michael Smith, Nathan Aspinall, Gerwyn Price, Rob Cross, Peter Wright and Luke Littler will represent the PDC.

Today in Milton Keynes and in Kalkar, Germany, the UK and the European Qualifying School will begin. All in all more then 800 players registered.
The first phase will be played from 8. - 10. January. The second, final phase will follow from 11. - 14 January with 128 participants in each venue, which will consist of qualifiers from the first phase,
players from the Challenge Tour and Development Tour Orders of Merit and players who lost their Tour Card end of 2023. 30 Tour Cards are on offer.

Beside the newly crowned World Champion Luke Humphries the runner-up Luke Littler invited as well. He will be the so far

Humphries wins PDC World Championship
In a thrilling and highclass final Luke Humphries prevailed with 7:4 and for the first time won the PDC World Champion title.
At the start of the final Humphries had some problems to hit his doubles and the as usual strong playing Littler got a 4:2 lead. But Humphries settled and came back into the match, first levelled 4:4 and then
won the last three sets to triumph.

PDC World Championship - Semifinals
On the 15. day of the tournament the semi-finals took place in the Alexandra Palace in London.
In the first semi-final Rob Cross and Luke Littler met and though Rob Cross showed a strong performance he couldn't keep up with Littler who won in the end with 2:6 and
progressed as youngest ever and beside unseeded player into the final.
Even more dominant was Luke Humphries in the second semi-final against Scott Williams who couldn't win a single set. By his semi-final win
Humphries is now the number 1 of the world.
In the final tomorrow Humphries will play against Littler.
