Tyler Thorpe started to play darts when he was 6 years old and joined his parents in the local pub team when he was 11. When he was 15 he took a break for some time to finish school. He started to study physics at Lancaster university and started to play darts again. In the end he hangs up his studies and concentrated on darts. Since 2024 Thorpe played on the Development Tour, won a first event in 2025 and lost in the PDC World Youth Championship among the Last 16 to Beau Greaves. In January 2026 Thorpe took part in Q School and got a Tour Card by the ranking.
