Young Dutchman Wessel Nijman was a successful youth player reaching the semi-finals of the World Masters Youth in 2016 and the final of the WDF
World Cup Youth in 2017. 2018 he won his first tournament on the PDC Development Tour. In 2019 he for the first time tried his luck in the PDC
Qualifying School without success. He returned 2020 with the same result. During the Corona pandemic in 2020 Nijman deliberately lost matches
in an online event and was convcicted to a two and a half year ban on parole by the DRA.
2023 he came back to the Development Tour and was so successful that he got end of 2023 a Tour Card by the ranking and a place in the PDC
World Championship 2023/24. Nijman dominated the Development Tour 2024 and won seven titles. He as well won his first title on the Pro tour and he got better results
on the European Tour - but so far he is still very inconsistent
