Irishman John O'Shea already plays darts for many years. 2009 he for the first time took part in the World Masters, 2010 his first tournament wins followed at the Tramore Autum Festival and the Ireland Players Championship Grand Final. From 2011 - 2014 he played on the PDC Pro Tour and qualified for the UK Open 2011. In the following years he often switched between the PDC and the BDO/WDF. His biggest achievements were the quarterfinal of the World Masters 2016 and the semi-finals of the Malta Open 2017. 2018 he failed to get a Tour Card in the PDC Qualifying School and played on the PDC Challenge Tour. In the same year he as well stood in the quarterfinals of the WDF Europe Cup Singles. Out of the blue O'Shea won the World Masters in 2019 but it was not really a breakthrough. In the BDO World Championship 2020 he didn't survive his first match. Another failed attempt in Qualifying School followed as well as two more PDC/WDF mixed years.
In 2022 O'Shea again took part in the PDC Qualifying School and this time managed to win a Tour Card by the ranking.
