Gemma Hayter started to play darts as a youth, took part in the girls World Masters and played in the County System. She was part of the national team but stayed without success. 2016 Hayter won the British International and after that she took a break of the sport. Since 2024 Hayter takes part in the PDC Women's Series and won in the first year two of the events. So far, she didn't win a title in 2025 but she reached already one final, three semis and four quarterfinals. Hayter qualified for the Women's World Matchplay 2025.
