Johnny Haines qualified several times as an amateur for the UK Open where he once reached the last 64 of the tournament. In January 2012 he took part in the PDC Qualifying School and got a Tour Card.
In the first UK Open Qualifyer he played himself under the last 16 and so qualified again for the tournament but didn't survive the first round. Beside he qualified in 2012 for the first and the third event of the PDC European Tour.
