Kevin Doets started his darts career as youth player in the WDF and was in 2013 and 2014 part of the Dutch team which won the WDF Europe Cup Youth. Since 2018 he plays on the PDC Development Tour. 2019 he stood in the quarterfinals of the Dutch Open and in his first Development Tour semi-final. Beside he still played in WDF events and won the Catalonian Open. 2020 Doets for the first time took part in the PDC Qualifying School (without success) and qualified by the Development Tour Order of Merit for the UK Open where he reached the third round. 2021 Doets again failed in Qualifying School and continued to play on Development and the Challenge Tour and sometimes moved up on the Pro Tour. He managed to qualify for the Players Championship Finals but lost first round.
2022 Doets again took part in Qualifying School and this time managed to secure a Tour Card by the ranking. Doets reached the Last 32 of the UK Open 2023.
