Phil Taylor wins again in Las Vegas
After winning the World Cricket Championship title on Saturday Phil Taylor did win the first of the three Players Championships on Sunday, which are part of the
New Tropicana World Series of Darts Festival as well.
On his way to victory he defeated Kevin McDine, Paul Lim, Joe Cullen and Nigel Heydon before he in the quarterfinals again met Mark Walsh his opponent in
the Cricket World Championship finale. Again Taylor could beat him and he was the winner of the match against James Wade in the semifinals
too.
Denis Ovens on his way into the finale overcame Jelle Klaasen, Terry Jenkins, Steve Hine, the Canadian Ken MacNeil aus Kanada, the Japanese Shintaro Hirai
and Dieter Schutsch. In the finale he lost 3:6 to Taylor. For Ovens it was his fourth finale in 2010.
With his good run into the semifinals Jelle Klaasen's chances on a place in the World Matchplay grow.
Colin Lloyd in his second round match threw a Nine-Darter but lost next round to Terry Jenkins.
