For the continental players the weekend is important as it is the last chance to qualify by the European Order of Merit
European Championship in Dinslaken. The Top 8 of the European Rankings plus the Top 16 of the PDC Order of Merit and
the Top 8 not qualified by the Order of Merit in the Players Championship Order of Merit will play European Championship.
The best chances of the German players goting into the weekend have Tomas Seyler, Marko Puls and Andree Welge.
But it is and important weekend for the other PDC players as well. This weekend and the events in Las Vegas are the last tournaments
with the chance to qualify for the World Matchplay in Blackpool in July and a lot of players still have the chance. Taking part in the
World Matchplay will the Top 16 of the Order of Merit and the Top 16 of the Players Championship Order of Merit.
Some of the PDC top players will not play in Haarlem. Phil Taylor had announced he would take a break till Las Vegas.
Raymond van Barneveld and Terry Jenkins both are on holiday as well - both on a cruise which in the case of van Barneveld
will bring him to South Africa where he´ll watch some soccer matches. Peter Manley went to hospital again. Whether it is just a
schedule check or he´s taken ill again is not known.
