Training Blog Week 2

Lee continues his bid to play better darts. He reports back on week two of his training and he certainly looks like a dart player with his new Darts Performance Centre shirt we kitted him out with
This week has been a mixed up week and my sessions have been interrupted by work. However I have managed to get two days' worth of my normal sessions completed, the other day I did manage to have a hour or two with the board and I used that time to just throw at random targets and practice my grouping.

I even resorted to a lonely game in a pub on my own for an hour just throwing at 20's 19's and random doubles. Which must have looked strange to the other pub goers and at times I did feel a little sad but, once I got into the practice I relaxed and blocked out anything going on around me. I actually enjoyed the time just throwing. And in a way it was good to just have time throwing at the bard and not worrying about what I hit.

DPC: - Practising in the pub (especially if this is where you play your competitive matches) is a great way of getting use to the noise and potential distractions that you may come across during your competitive games.

The session itself today's results were again good. My solo speed average (9 dart average) jumped up to 68.54 which is a great increase and shows that my scoring ability is getting better.

My 3 legs of 501 was good with some good scores and I closed the game in fewer darts in this session. Although nowhere near the 15 dart game I had last week, but still promising.

RTW singles was a happy 31

RTW Doubles my checkout result was the same as a few days ago at 23.81% but improved on a week ago when it was 16.26%

The targets for the 100 darts @ were 5,4,3 I seemed to struggle on the 4 the most . I should be able to hit over what im doing currently.

DPC: Lee demonstrates here the benefit of keeping track of your scores. The key reason is for motivation. If you can see your-self improving via your improved averages you are going to come back for more in the pursuit of improving even more!

Back to Lee - The DPC are constantly keeping me updated with any changes and updates on my blog and it is really refreshing to have the help and support from them while I continue my own training.

DPC: One area that we are always being told to "sell" more is the diary area on the site. Even if Lee wasn't writing this blog we would be passing him advice and suggestions through the diary area on the site. This service is included in the annual membership of £25.00 per year and is a great way for us to interact with our clients.
