The WORLD let down!

Well I have not written a blog in awhile because I was letting the dust settle and hoped for a change in DARTSLIVE stance about me playing the WORLD event. I am sitting in the airport to head over to Hong Kong to play the ADA tour stop in HK and had planned on staying until the WORLD event next week but not now....

So what happened? Well I guess it depends who you ask. When I was at the Grand Finals for the WORLD Tour in Dec I was told I would not be able to wear TRiNiDAD logos at the WORLD events the following year. I was like "ok" did not know really why but ok. I told TRiNiDAD this and they were shocked by this news but agreed but said they would try to find out why.
So then last month I was over in Japan and had been told by the WORLD Committee that I was ok to play and did not need to pre-pay for the tour as I planned to play every stage. Then comes a call 2 days later....

DARTSLIVE feels that my success on their tour would be used somehow to promote Phoenix??????

I was hoping that they would have taken in to account that I had been promoting DARTSLIVE for months and hell it was on my website promoting the WORLD Tour...but no. I was told if I left TRiNiDAD I could play the tour and would be in line to be a "official DARTSLIVE player." My reply was well make me one then there is no doubt what machines I back..... well that did not happen.
I am in no way associated with Phoenix machines and really feel like "my girlfriends mother shot someone and I am the one who goes to prision". Not only am I out of the WORLD I was told "you are unable to play any DARTSLIVE event anywhere in the world including USA"

You work hard and have success but then people want to try and interfer with that. I honestly feel the whole thing falls into a bully category.... long story short is I am staying with TRiNiDAD and we are about to launch my new dart line in both steel and soft tip. So this year I will be playing the D-Crown tour in Mainland Japan and a few other events around the world. There is always a place to play.

My end opinion is I am extremely disappointed and feel that the position is incorrect but it is way things are done over there I guess. What is more upsetting is that certain people tried to say I knew what was going to happen and why was I complaining about it. Well these people were plain just showing their ignorance about what was really happening or what I had been told directly from Steve Ngu himself.

Well time to board my flight to San Fran then on to Hong Kong to play the Asia Bullshooter... oh that reminds me... DARTSLIVE issued a statement to all their official players that they are also banned from playing on any other tour but DARTSLIVE. This is as stupid as the whole BDO vs PDC thing has been. Darts is about darts so let dart players play. What happens is you end up with a incomplete assesment of who the best players really are since they are never allowed to play each other......

I am happy to be on the D-Crown tour by the way as the games and format is a much better game for the top players and the prizes are much higher for event wins. Stay tuned for the weekends updates :) oh and when I last checked? only 60 people signed up for the first world stage....I know most of the US players will not be at stage 2 due to conflicts....guess there was no flood of people after the changes.
