Anderson and Klaasen progress into Finals Group

With two wins over Dave Chisnall and Mike de Decker both Gary Anderson as Jelle Klaasen progressed into the finals group of the event.
Gary Anderson opened the night with a close 6:5 win over Mike de Decker. Both players had a slow start into the match but then Anderson moved 5:2 in front. But he missed several matchdarts and de Decker managed to draw. In the deciding leg de Decker first had the advantage but the Scotsman threw his fourth 180 and his last doubles clinically.
The second match of the night was won by the consistent and solid Jelle Klaasen who defeated Dave Chisnall who was far from his best with 6:2. Match number three was won by Klaasen as well who this time defeated Mike de Decker. The match was rather evenly matched first but Klaasen found another gear. With two wins Klaasen was already with one foot in the last four.
In the fourth match with Gary Anderson and Dave Chisnall the two highest ranked players of the group met at the oche. Anderson played a lot better than in his first match and showed with an over 98 average the best performance of the night. He defeated Chisnall with 6:3. By this result both he and Klaasen were through to the finals group and the last two matches of the night were not really of importance any longer.
First on was Chisnall versus de Decker and it was a hard fought match with the better end for Dave Chisnall who won it 6:5. The last match of the night between Anderson and Klaasen decided the group win. Anderson didn't play as well as against Chisnall bus still better than Klaasen and won the match and - for the third time - a group. Beside he stayed unbeaten in the Home Tour so far.

In the second Last 8 group tonight Rob Cross, Joe Cullen, Nathan Aspinall and Jonny Clayton will stand at the oche.
